The Secretary General of the Association of African Universities (AAU) on behalf of the Governing Board and African Universities, expresses our profound shock at the passing of Ghana's Nobel Peace Laureate and her finest international diplomat of all-time, Busumru Dr. Kofi Annan, which sad event occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Berne, Switzerland. He was 80.

The 2nd Education Collaborative Annual Workshop will be hosted by Ashesi University, in Berekuso, Ghana from 25-29 June 2018. The focus of this workshop will be on “Facilitating Inclusive Classrooms”. AAU East Africa Regional Office launched in Sudan

The East Africa Regional Office for the Association of African Universities (AAU) was launched in Khartoum Sudan on the 14th March 2018. Other AAU regional offices will be launched in North Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa. The main goal of the AAU East Africa Regional Office is to increase the impact of AAU activities in East Africa and maximize the benefits of AAU to the membership universities in East Africa.
