The Association of African Universities, which is an African higher education association with a membership of 208 in the five major regions of Africa is happy to collaborate with the Nestlé Foundation in promoting Capacity building initiatives in Nutrition and Allied fields, including Food Science. The Nestlé Foundation for the Study of Problems of Nutrition in the World was established in 1966 by a donation by the Nestlé Company on the occasion of its centenary. The Foundation was self-constituting and formed a council consisting of five internationally well-known Council Members. The Foundation is financially and operationally independent of the Nestlé Company. The offices of the Nestlé Foundation are in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Nestlé Foundation initiates and supports research in human nutrition with public health relevance

(a) Free Offer of a Capacity- building book on Nutrition:
The book Present Knowledge in Nutrition (PKN) is the leading reference that scientists, researchers, medical and health professionals, educators, students and others look to for current and comprehensive nutrition information. The Nestle Foundation would like to offer to institutions in collaboration with International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) in Washington, for personal use of the teaching staff of your institute, this classic nutrition textbook for capacity building purposes.
