Organised by the AAU in cooperation with AfNOG and AfriNIC, AfREN 2008 is held on 31 May and 1 June 2008 at Ecole Mohammedia des Ingénieurs in Rabat, Morocco.

The IDRC funded meeting –with additional resources provided by the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa and NSRC- is a platform for building an all-inclusive African research and education networking community that addresses collectively issues like collaboration, access to bandwidth and other critical resources at affordable prices, capacity building and content development.

This year’s programme also includes a roundtable on policy, with higher education institutions’ leaders, regulators, representatives of regional economic communities, representatives of development agencies and representatives of the civil society as panellists.
