Each participant in the Programme must be nominated by an AAU member institution that needs his/her services.

Nominations should be in respect of staff exchanges that will be undertaken during the period: January to July,. The procedure is as follows.

  1. The head of the requesting institution shall nominate the visiting professors/lecturers from another AAU member institution, and send his/her name, rank, and address to the AAU, indicating what his/her duties and functions will be, as well as the expected period and duration of the visit.
  2. The requesting institution shall provide the local expenses of the visiting professor/lecturer such as lodging, board, local transportation, and medical care during his/her visit in the institution.
  3. The home institution of the visiting professor/lecturer shall maintain the payment of his/her salary and benefits for the duration of his/her absence from the institution to participate in the Staff Exchange Programme.
