The General Conference |
The General Conference is an assembly of representatives of all member institutions, and meets every four years to: assess activities implemented in the preceding four years against the background of a programme and a budget approved at the previous Conference; approve the plan of activities and budget for the following four-year period; and, elect the President and Executive Board of the Association. The last and eleventh General Conference was held in Cape Town, South Africa, in February 2005 on the theme “Cross-border provision and the future of higher education in Africa”.
The General Conference is usually held in collaboration with member institutions. The following institutions played host to the past General Conferences.
