African University Day
African University Day was instituted following a decision by the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now African Union (AU) in 1994. The objective of this annual event is to sensitize people on the role of the African university in the economic and social development of Africa. The Day is celebrated on 12th November of each year around a topic of interest to higher education.
