Developing Strategic Plans for Building Campus Networks for Senior Campus Network Engineers |

AfNOG (Africa Network Operators Group) in collaboration with AAU (Association of the African Universities) and IDRC is organizing an important workshop on “Developing Strategic Plans for Building Campus Networks”.
The meeting will be held from 13 -14 May 2006 at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
This workshop is a technical session specifically targets Senior Network Engineers working in the Academic and Research sector, and would take the form of round-table technical discussions and a hands-on clinic that would focus on physical infrastructure of campus networks, network engineering principles and best practices, and provision of applications and services in the African university environment. Participants from African higher Institutions will be expected to bring along detailed network plans for their institutions, and be prepared to present and engage in case study reviews about the state of their existing campus networks.
